Alan  attended Montreat College where he developed  a love for the Blue Ridge Mountains.  After Montreat College Alan received a Bachelors Degree in art at Appalachian State University located in Boone, NC.  Alan creates most of his work in watercolor and acrylics.  Amy and Alan Capps live in Indian Trail, NC just minutes from Charlotte, NC. Amy and Alan have two children, Matthew and Katie, and a cat named Opie and a dog named Winston.  Matt is married to Laura Towery Capps and they have a son named Solomon , they live in Clemmons, NC.  Katie is Married to Kevin Baker and they live in Indian Trail, NC.

Commissioned work will be accepted and some selected works are available as giclee prints.
